We specialize in the areas of brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and complex medical conditions.  RHI is the only Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System in the state of Indiana and one of only 16 in the U.S. SUMMARYThe Environmental Services Technician - PRN (Weekend) will be responsible for providing a safe, clean and accommodating environment at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana, with an emphasis on customer service, and serving all patients, staff, and visitors.The EVS Team Member will exhibit the principles of service excellence, leading by example, and mentoring others in the performance of their assigned duties. Additionally, understands that every employee is responsible for exhibiting exceptional customer service by answering call lights on the nursing unit and if not able to assist personally, will inform the appropriate employee regarding the patient's need. Understands the role of employee's individual position regarding HIPAA requirements and level of access to Protected Health Information as defined in HIPAA hospital-wide policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSComplete all cleaning duties in assigned areas within the time allotted.Responsible for sweeping, dust mopping, and damp mopping floors, rooms, hallways, entrances, stairways, etc.Prepare sanitized beds for new patients, including the correct placement of bed linens.Dust, wash, sponge, mop, sanitize, and shampoo furniture, clean and polish glass surfaces.Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school education or equivalentPrevious housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospital is strongly preferred HOURSPRN Schedule (Hours could be between 7:00am-2:30pm Saturday and Sunday) The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
