About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Colorado

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Thornton, Colorado

Schedule: Travel assignment, 1P - 1A shift (day to night rotation), 4:1 patient ratio, supporting an Emergency Department with 40 beds serving an average of 145 patients daily

Highlights:

• High-volume Level 1 and Level 2 trauma center experience with comprehensive emergency care services
• Collaborative team environment with approximately 110 clinical staff including RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, and support personnel
• Meditech EMR system with advanced emergency equipment including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound, Belmont, Lifepack, and GE Transport Monitors
• Diverse clinical exposure including trauma activations, procedural sedation, stroke and sepsis protocols, pediatric emergency care, and behavioral health crisis intervention
• Structured shift teams with clinical nurse coordinators and dedicated throughput and EMS coordination support
• Opportunity to work with an experienced, tenured team in a fast-paced, dynamic emergency care setting

Requirements:

• Active Colorado RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 1-2 years of current acute care Emergency Department RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
• CPI Blue card certification required
• Trauma Level 1 or Level 2 experience strongly preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Strong team player with excellent critical thinking and multitasking abilities
