Director of Fundraising and Development

Position Summary In this role, you will build and maintain impactful relationships with local businesses and stakeholders to further the organization’s advancement goals. The Director of Fundraising & Development will create, produce, and manage approximately three annual fundraising events and three third party events. Work alongside the President/CEO to implement events and programming that align with the organization’s short- and long-term fundraising goals. Identify and cultivate corporate and foundation sponsors. Plan and coordinate special fundraising events for The Arc of Palm Beach County. Develop and manage event work plans. Maintain event budgets and monthly reconciliations. Event preparation and logistics, including décor, entertainment, ticketing, stakeholder relations, and onsite events. Solicit and collect auction items. Upload and track auction items with third-party vendor. Coordinate event committee and co-chair meetings; Attend, record, and report details. Manage donor database, including data entry and reporting. Work with vendors before, during, and after events. While this position has no direct reports, the Director of Fundraising & Development leads event teams comprised of coworkers and volunteers. Develop and implement strategies to increase donations alongside the Advancement team. Support major donor cultivation alongside the Executive team. Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO. Develop and implement strategies to increase donations alongside the Advancement team. Support major donor cultivation alongside the Executive team. Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO. Education And Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of related experience. Experience in sales, marketing or fundraising. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to foster strong relationships. Research and reporting skills. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time. The person in this position must occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, machinery, and other job-related items.
