Quality Specialist

Position Summary The quality specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company operates to the requirements of the company quality manual. The quality specialist monitors, inspects, and tests the quality of manufactured products and engineering deliverables. This individual ensures compliance with company standards, identifies issues of concern to management, recommends solutions, and performs periodic audits. This role entails collaboration with shop technicians working in the parts manufacturing shop. Your primary responsibility is the inspection and acceptance of electronic assemblies and aircraft installation kits. These products are developed in support of general aviation, special-use, and business aircraft. This position carries a high priority for quality and attention to detail. What You'll Do Maintain MASD PMA quality manual for shop production activities Audit company quality practices per the MASD PMA quality manual Inspection of manufactured assemblies including manifold pressure sensors, accelerometers, and exterior light kits Must understand applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications Possess basic practical skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation Acceptance of electronic assemblies Experience with soldering and crimping techniques What You Bring High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience Prior technical manufacturing experience in the aviation industry strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and discipline, with strong attention to detail. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager. Work Environment This job operates in an office setting.
