Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications Shift: Residential, on-site for the full duration of the camp season Benefits Package: Meaningful pediatric-focused nursing work within a close-knit residential camp community, alongside a supportive and collaborative on-site staff Job Summary This seasonal position combines direct clinical nursing with the distinctive pace and rhythm of a residential camp environment. The nurse will serve as the program's primary healthcare resource-managing daily health needs for campers and staff, maintaining a consistent clinical presence, and operating with a degree of independence well outside the structure of a traditional hospital or clinic. Best suited to RNs who value pediatric-focused work and find purpose in community-based care. Key Responsibilities- Provide direct medical care to campers and staff, encompassing first aid, medication administration, and emergency response
- Keep medical records, daily health logs, and incident documentation accurate, confidential, and current throughout the season
- Administer health screenings at camper check-in and as clinically warranted throughout the program
- Communicate health-related concerns to parents and guardians in a clear, professional, and timely manner
- Work in close partnership with camp leadership to uphold health and safety protocols and manage medical situations as they arise
- Active RN license or valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate license in good standing
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability and willingness to reside on-site for the complete duration of the camp season
- Team-oriented, with a collaborative and approachable manner suited to a communal residential setting
- Prior clinical experience in a pediatric, school-based, or residential camp nursing environment
- Comfortable practicing with autonomy and making independent clinical decisions outside a hospital or clinic context
