Our tech fuels billions of transactions per day!About this team:Magnite’s Reporting & Insights team powers our flagship analytics product for SpringServe platform and is building the next‑generation Unified Reporting API. We’re adding an engineer to accelerate a high‑impact roadmap, elevate API developer experience, and partner closely with our UI and Data teams to ship features that our publishers and DSPs rely on to understand and optimize campaign performance.In this role you will: Participate in the design, development, testing, release of API’s that power reporting and analytics applications. Collaborate daily with Product, UI, and Data engineers to take features from requirements and delivery.Design and build APIs that are intuitive and easy to consume: clear contracts (OpenAPI), well-documented, versioning strategies, pagination, filtering, batching, and strong SLAs/SLOs.Champion code quality: well‑tested, observable, maintainable code; thoughtful reviews; design docs; and pragmatic documentation.Own services in production: dashboards, alerting, capacity and load testing, cost‑aware design, and reliability improvements.Leverage AI-assisted tools in your development processWe’re looking for someone with: 3+ years of software engineering experience.Primary development experience in modern (latest JVM version) Java for high-throughput, low-latency back-end web services.Hands-on experience with Postgres (or other RDBMS): modeling, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.Proficiency with Git/GitHub and modern team practices (reviews, trunk/branch strategies, code ownership).Clear, empathetic communication and a collaborative mindset.Nice to Have:Exposure to cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).Experience with asynchronous programming patterns, high levels of concurrency, and with frameworks such as Vert.x and Dropwizard is highly desirable.Experience with event‑driven or streaming architectures.Understanding of authN/Z patterns (OAuth2/JWT), rate limiting, and API security.Observability tools and practices (metrics, tracing, logs) and load/perf testing.Knowledge of Real-Time Bidding (RTB), SSPs, DSPs, and ad delivery systems is a strong plus.In CA, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 – $135,000.In CO, the base salary range for this role is $115,000 – $125,000.Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.This role is also eligible for:Annual performance-based bonusEquity (NASDAQ: MGNI)Comprehensive benefits packageDuring the interview process, candidates will receive more specific information about the salary range applicable to their experience and location.Perks and Benefits: Comprehensive Healthcare Coverage from Day OneGenerous Time Off Holiday Breaks and Quarterly Wellness DaysEquity and Employee Stock Purchase PlanFamily-Focused Benefits and Parental Leave 401k Retirement Savings Plan with Employer MatchDisability and Life InsuranceCell Phone SubsidyMonthly Fitness and ReimbursementCareer Growth:We support internal mobility, skill development, and leadership pathways through structured career frameworks and learning programs.Company Culture: Magnite’s culture is rooted in collaboration and connection, recognizing that both are essential to success.
