Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct an array of ultrasound exams, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Provide comfort and assurance to patients during procedures, clearly detailing each step with empathy and patience
• Work closely with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic outcomes
• Efficiently operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any issues
• Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic health record system
• Maintain knowledge of the latest advances in ultrasound technology and methodologies

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related area
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• Preferred BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Skills Needed

• Proficient technical skills in sonography and patient positioning
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal capabilities
