Work Environment

In this remote telehealth setting, you will engage with clients via video consultations, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while observing the therapeutic alliance crucial for effective counseling. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs, concerns, and aspirations, employing standardized tools and clinical judgment.
  • Provide individualized one-on-one counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices to assist clients in addressing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.
  • Facilitate couples and family therapy sessions to navigate interpersonal dynamics and resolve conflicts, encouraging open communication and fostering healthy relationships.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that are goal-oriented, setting clear objectives while incorporating client feedback and progress monitoring.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges, equipping them with coping strategies and referrals when necessary.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, enhancing their understanding and facilitating the skillful navigation of available resources.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines governing the counseling profession, ensuring client confidentiality and informed consent are strictly observed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse client base, including adults, children, and families grappling with various mental health issues. Our clients represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds, and as such, cultural sensitivity and the ability to establish rapport with individuals from different walks of life is essential. Your role will significantly contribute to their recovery journey and the enhancement of their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience with proven competence in delivering a range of counseling services.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, necessary for establishing trust-based relationships with clients.
  • A profound capacity for empathy and a commitment to ethical and professional integrity in all interactions.
  • Awareness and respect for cultural diversity, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in telehealth counseling and familiarity with virtual therapy platforms.
  • Proficiency in developing integrative treatment plans and employing evidence-based interventions.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care strategies.
