Seven Grams Caff is an artisanal bakery and premium coffee roastery with three locations in NYC (in Flatiron, West SoHo, and Chelsea). We've built a cult following for what New York Magazine called "cookies for hedonists"; we handmake every single baked good we sell; we use only the finest ingredients; and we're constantly looking to innovate and come up with creative renditions to classic recipes. What We're Looking For
We're looking for a talented and motivated Lead Baker / Pastry Cook to join our team. Key responsibilities include:
- High-volume pastry production of loaf cakes, soft butter cookies, vegan pastries, brownies, financiers, and other baked goods
- Production for our online operations for nationwide shipping
- Maintaining the highest possible standards in product quality and health and safety
- Being consistent, obsessed with quality, and taking pride in the baked goods you produce
- Being a motivated team player with outstanding communication skills
- Showcasing a proactive, self-starter approach
- Assist Pastry chef with day to day production and operation.
- Ability to take on managerial duties and execute to a high standard
Minimum Requirements
- Pastry degree or extensive courses earned from ICE, Johnson & Wales University, or equivalent academic institutions
- Three years or more experience in a similar product-range-menu and work set-up
- NY Food Handler's Certificate is a plus
- Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work 8-9 hour shifts
