Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Role Outpatient RN CAP 1, an entry-level registered nurse position within the Clinical Advancement Program, responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for hemodialysis patients. Responsibilities Perform patient data collection, adjust treatment plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team. Ensure safe delivery of hemodialysis, respond to emergencies, oversee laboratory procedures, and document care plans. Supervise and mentor staff and participate in quality improvement activities. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school, valid state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and at least 9 months of RN experience with 3 months in hemodialysis preferred. Physical demands include lifting, standing, and assisting with patient mobility. Previous nephrology experience is advantageous. Additional Info Performs duties in a healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials, requiring adherence to policies and safety protocols.
