Packer/Quality Inspector

Job Description

Cardinal Staffing is seeking General Labor Workers for an agricultural produce packing company in Romulus, MI.
Pay: $13.73 per hour. Spanish/bilingual ability is preferred.
Shift is 8am-430pm Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and pack fresh produce (tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc.) according to company standards.
• Work on a fast-paced production or packaging line.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
• Keep workstations clean and organized.
• Stack finished products on pallets and prepare them for shipment.
• Meet packaging specifications for weight, labeling, and packing materials.
• Work in a cold environment (approximately 45°F / 7°C).
• Follow supervisor instructions and meet daily production goals.
• Perform general labor tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to stand 8-10 hours and perform repetitive movements.
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.
• Ability to lift 25-30 pounds as needed.
• Strong attention to detail for quality inspection.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• No experience required - training is provided.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in food production, warehouse, or packaging (not required).
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and basic English.
