Scope of position: Enjoy up to a $4,000 sign-on bonus and become an LNA for free! Rockingham County has partnered with local LNA programs in NH to have your LNA training fully paid for and hire you as a full-time LNA! The Licensed Nursing Assistant Apprentice Program will provide you with the basic nursing skills to prepare you for a successful career in healthcare while working for Rockingham County.

A Day In The Life

Accepted students will take hybrid classes (online theory/in-person clinicals) at a local LNA program to learn the required skills to become an LNA. While taking classes, students have the option of working at Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as a temporary universal worker. After receipt of their LNA license, students are required to work full-time at Rockingham County for one (1) consecutive year as an LNA. Course requirements:

• Ability to be accepted into any of the following LNA programs (application provided separately by Rockingham County)
  • LNA Health Careers (Manchester, NH)
  • Manchester Community College (Manchester, NH)
  • NHTI Community College (Concord, NH)
  • Great Bay Community College (Portsmouth, NH)
• 50-60 hours of online theory.
• Up to 24 hours of in-person, pre-clinical laboratory.
• 60 hours of on-site clinical.
• State test after completion of the course and successful passing of the exam within 3 attempts during the span of 3 months.
• Continued full-time employment for one (1) consecutive year at Rockingham County as an LNA upon receipt of license.

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Submit a brief essay, up to 200 words, addressing the following items:
