Overview $5,000 sign‑on bonus and $5,000 relocation (for > 100 miles) or $2,500 relocation (for > 50 miles) for nurses with 1 or more years of experience - External Applicants Only. Responsibilities Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and based on patient and family needs. Implements plan of care, nursing interventions and patient care procedures, modifying the plan based upon continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to begin appropriate solutions. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies. Evaluates and enhances nursing practice by utilizing the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope and Standards of Practice to provide direct 1:1 patient care to adult patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Administers moderate sedation and other medications in a safe manner by following Carle Policies. Performs hemodynamic monitoring, identifies potential life‑threatening arrhythmias, and implements appropriate clinical treatment. Collaborates with patients and families to answer questions and provide emotional support when needed. Enhances patient care activities and acts as a safety advocate through participation in ongoing department quality improvement and evidence‑based practice projects. Coordinates safe care delivery through effective communication with a multi‑disciplinary team. Recognizes and adapts to potential changes in procedures while responding to emergent situations. Participates in a fun, supportive, collaborative environment while working as part of a cohesive 3‑4 staff team, comprised of RNs and radiology technologists. Administers medications necessary for procedures. Manages care of patients during moderate sedation. Monitors hemodynamics throughout procedures. Provides detailed documentation of procedure events. Understands use of supplies and equipment used in various procedures. Qualifications Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year – American Heart Association (AHA). Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year – American Heart Association (AHA). College diploma in nursing (Required). Benefits & Compensation Salary Range: $32.63 per hour – $56.12 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
