About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: Ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients. Comfort in managing patients on a ventilator. Experience with bedside shift report for patient handoff. Proficient in reading telemetry strips. Basic knowledge of advanced nursing skills, including CRRT and advanced hemodynamics. Description: Travelers will be scheduled according to facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent staff. Unit consists of 28 beds with various patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4. Documentation system in use is Meditech. Staff will utilize mobile computer workstations and i-mobile phones for communication. Patient care includes a variety of advanced procedures such as CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, and neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. Experience with external ventricular drains and induced hypothermia is preferred. Supportive management and emphasis on teamwork are key aspects of the work environment.
