Material Handler (Fork Lift Operator/ Driver) - 1st and 3rd Shift

Job Description Job Description Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts Responsibilities: Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping schedule and transport material to and from designated areas inside facility Loading and unloading material from vehicles such as trailers, straight trucks, and vans Moving material around storage facility Stacking material in correct storage bays and following inventory control instructions Checking loads are secure Stacking empty pallets Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging truck’s battery and cleaning equipment Reporting issues to direct supervisor JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent Good language and reading skills: basic computer skills may be required High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others: promote safe working environment Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records Complete assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner Maintain a clean and safe environment Ability to accurately use a tape measure Occasionally lifting of up to 50 lbs. required Job Type : Full -Time Benefits: Health Dental Vision Life Insurance 401(k) Contact: View email address on click.appcast.io Company Description We are seeking a proven Production Manager to lead our Grand Rapids sheet plant.
