Description - Your Role in the Lab

• Execute routine as well as complex clinical laboratory tests in areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering to established protocols.
• Assess results for precision, rectify issues, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Support specimen collection efforts and prepare samples for testing as necessary.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all procedures, help educate new employees or students, and assist in upholding high lab quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, while strictly following regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain active certification for the duration of employment.
