Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Location: New Jersey

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday).

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide top-quality respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both adult and pediatric critical care, specifically within PICU and NICU settings. This role includes floating between various departments based on patient acuity and care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory care treatments, including blood gas analysis and ventilator management.
• Respond to code situations and assist in in-house patient transportation.
• Provide medication administration and chest physiotherapy as necessary.
• Engage in patient and family education related to respiratory care.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience, with PICU/NICU experience highly preferred.
• Active New Jersey License required.
• Certifications: BLS and NBRC required; advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) preferred.
