Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Nights, Weekends Rotate)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Austin, TX
Number of Beds: 32+
Number of Staff: 117
Patient Ratios: 4:1

Staff Composition

Team structure includes:

Day Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT
Mid Shift: 2 CNCs, 15 RNs, 2 Medics, 2 PCTs
Night Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT

Requirements

Candidates must possess the following certifications prior to the start date:

TNCC
ENPC
ACLS
BLS

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, candidates with the following skills will be given preference:

Greater than 2 years of experience in a similar role

Typical Procedures

Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department may perform the following procedures:

Lumbar Puncture (LP)
Intubations
Thrombolysis (TNK)
Laceration Repair
Suture Removal
Splinting

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following traits:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Proactive in anticipating patient and departmental needs

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Navy Blue, Navy Blue zip-up sweater

Not Acceptable: Pullover sweatshirts
