Carol Flynn Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. We have been proudly serving residential and commercial customers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 1954 .

We are looking for a skilled and dependable HVAC professional who can confidently diagnose and repair HVAC systems, communicate professionally with customers, and take pride in providing quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC equipment. Responsibilities include working on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, thermostats, controls, and related equipment.

You will diagnose electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues; perform preventative maintenance and system inspections; accurately identify equipment problems; and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.

Technicians are expected to complete repairs professionally and efficiently, verify that equipment is operating safely and correctly, clearly explain findings and recommendations to customers, complete service documentation accurately, and maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work area.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience REQUIRED
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience servicing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and related equipment
• Knowledge of refrigeration, electrical systems, airflow, thermostats, and HVAC controls
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• EPA certification as required
• Dependable and punctual
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Strong attention to detail

We are looking for a skilled installer who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, clean installations, attention to detail, and doing the job correctly the first time .

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Installer, you will install and replace residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and related HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities include safely removing existing equipment; installing and modifying ductwork; installing refrigerant piping and line sets, condensate piping, venting, thermostats, controls, and related electrical connections; and following manufacturer installation requirements and equipment specifications.

You will also properly start up and test newly installed systems, verify that equipment is operating safely and correctly, maintain clean and organized jobsites, and protect customers' homes and property throughout the installation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience REQUIRED
• Strong residential and/or light commercial HVAC installation experience
• Experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and related equipment
• Knowledge of ductwork, refrigerant piping, condensate systems, venting, electrical connections, thermostats, and controls
• Ability to properly start up and test installed equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot installation-related issues
• Ability to follow manufacturer specifications and applicable building codes
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, contractors, and inspectors
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• EPA certification as required
