Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room across multiple specialties, including abdominal, thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic, Orthopedics, Vascular, and OB/GYN
• Prepare the OR, assist the surgical team, and ensure sterile technique and proper instrumentation
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures; administer medications as directed; support anesthesia team as needed
• Facilitate efficient case flow, equipment turnover, and accurate documentation; contribute to post-anesthesia care handoffs
• Participate in after-hours call coverage for nights, holidays, and weekends as required

Requirements

• Licensure: Current, full and unrestricted Alaska RN license (active at time of submission)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years OR nursing experience; experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural OR strongly preferred
• Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Additional: Flu vaccine required; ability to work in an OR environment; availability for on-call coverage; ability to complete required fingerprinting/clearance prior to start
