Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapies such as mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, or aerosol medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor ventilator settings and adjust them as needed based on patients' responses and clinical conditions.
• Educate families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use to support recovery after discharge from the PICU.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments provided and patient progress throughout their PICU stay.

Work Environment:

• The role is based in hospital PICUs where respiratory therapists work closely with critically ill pediatric patients requiring intensive care support.
