Part-time Direct Care Professional 7:00am - 3:00pm (Newtown Square, PA)

St. Edmond's is a residential care facility providing an exceptional holistic outcome-oriented plan of care for children with intellectual and physical disabilities.

*Please note, this position is located in Newtown Square, PA and requires having a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Schedule: 7:00am - 3:00pm (40hrs biweekly)

Essential Job Duties:

• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mealtime.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and community outings using a company vehicle.
• Assists in implementation of therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, mass or church functions, arts and crafts, and recreational games.
• Complete daily documentation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate respectfully and effectively with peers, supervisors, management, family, consumers, anyone working, receiving services, and visiting any agency program.
• Ability to lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving more than 100 pounds with assistance.
• Provide companionship and supportive listening
• Report changes in the health or status of the resident.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Provide support with hobbies, studies, and social activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with 3yrs driving experience.
