Supply Chain Associate I

Location: Norfolk, VA

Work Shift: Rotating

Overview: Part-Time, Rotating, 32 hrs per week

As a Supply Chain Associate I with Sentara, you will be responsible for leading, managing, transforming, and developing the inventory and logistics of Hospital Warehouse Docks. This includes supply inventory management, warehouse management, product receiving, shipping, record keeping, order fulfillment, and materials transportation. The role will be responsible for managing supplies coming to the hospital, primarily in the warehouse. Goals could include building a competitive inventory and logistics infrastructure, optimizing logistics and record-keeping, facilitating cycle counts, measuring inventory, and ensuring continuous improvement. In addition, will be responsible for providing data and information to its superiors and to facilitate decision making with actual ground level information and insights on a periodic basis or ad-hoc, in accordance with Sentara Health priorities.

Education: HS - High School Grad or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure: No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience: 1 year experience as a materials associate

Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. Sentara Leigh Hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care, from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services. Along with being a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, we also specialize in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, and general surgery.
