Work Schedule: Primarily daylight, weekday hours with 8- and 12-hour shifts! Rotating weekend, overnight, and holiday coverage. Infrequent on-call hours, if needed. Responsibilities: Covers call and off-shifts on a rotational basis. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures to assist in a patient’s medical diagnosis. Displays knowledge of equipment operations, anatomy, and scanning techniques resulting in optimized image data/documentation. Documents and considers patient history, laboratory data, and physical findings. Ensures all exams are properly coded and networked through appropriate systems, and ensures all charges are correct for exams performed. Assists with training staff, student sonographers, and physicians. May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and/or equipment. Demonstrates ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect. #J-18808-Ljbffr UPMC
