Receptionist
Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Competent use of office machines: calculators, computers, databases, word processors, fax machines, and copiers
Strong interpersonal communication skills with students and adults
Competent use of business English, office policies, and procedures
Commitment to student-centered learning
Reliable attendance and work ethic
Other requirements as outlined by the Board and by Administration
Good physical condition with ability to lift 10 pounds
Responsibilities:
Greet and check-in visitors
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
Assist with office duties in efficient and professional manner
Assist with office machine maintenance
Assist with student, parent, and teacher needs
Assist with distribution of mail
Receive and distribute packages
Administer medication to students, if needed
Assist with student bus assignments
Providing assistance and counsel to the principal pertaining to efficient professional operation of school office
Salary: Commensurate with Ocean Springs salary schedule for classified positions for the 2026-2027 school year
Terms of employment: 210 - 220 days per school (as determined by job assignment) Classified/Non-Exempt
