Registered Nurse - ICU/Step Down Location Rockport, MAINE Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 36 hours per week, with shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including every other weekend. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ICU/Step Down unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals in critical condition or requiring significant monitoring and assistance. You will work closely with a dedicated team to manage complex patient needs and ensure optimal recovery outcomes. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in the ICU/Step Down setting, monitoring vital signs and adapting care plans as needed. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective patient care strategies. Educate patients and their families about health conditions and ongoing care plans. Assist in the management of emergency situations as they arise. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or Step Down nursing. Current RN license in good standing. Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS and PALS preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to float to other units as required by patient needs.
