Material Handler - 1st Shift

Material Handler [Forklift Operator]Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for a Material Handler [Forklift Operator]. Responsibilities include receiving, selecting, and loading materials; operating forklift safely and efficiently; verifying accuracy of orders after packaging and loading; providing basic customer service to internal and external customers; working with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily; maintaining clean working area; following all safety procedures (OSHA compliance); and performing daily safety checks on forklifts.Basic Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience. Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions. Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions. Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw.Preferred Qualifications: Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance). Familiarity with building materials. Ability to measure and calculate material lengths.Work Environment: High traffic warehouse and yard.
