Description Junior Program Assistant - Seasonal About the New York Athletic Club The New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier clubs, is seeking a Junior Program Assistant at the Travers Island property located in Pelham, NY. The candidate for this position will be a part of the Junior Program and Day Camp team and will lead the supervision and care of their assigned group. This position is primarily outdoors. Youth Programs at the New York Athletic Club is the perfect opportunity for children of members to get access to a variety of different sports, experience a team environment, take advantage of the world class facilities at Travers Island, and create memories to last a lifetime.

- Supervise children on a bus during pick up (7am-8:30am) and dismissal (3pm-4pm)
- Supervise children during lunch breaks and assist with distribution
- Lead your designated group during transition times in the daily schedule
- Supervise and lead indoor activities in the event of inclement weather
- Enforce safety rules and regulations of the Club
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment for participants
- Assist with daily administrative and operational tasks
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children
- Must be 18 years or older
- Pass NYS and national background check
- Be available for trainings in May and June 2026
- Be available 30-40 hours per week during June-August 2026
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on a team
- Possess effective customer service skills
- Demonstrate responsible and professional conduct
- Be open to feedback and desire to grow professionally
