Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Manage a patient assignment of 5–6 patients per shift in accordance with unit staffing ratios
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)
• Complete required pre-start compliance modules prior to the assignment start date

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or active Compact RN license required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated telemetry competency required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
