Clinician I (Nurse Practitioner) Full-Time

Position Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a mission‑minded Associate to join us as a full‑time (37.5 hours per week) Clinician at our Kent Health Center. The position may occasionally float within the assigned region; when floating, an additional $2.00 per hour will be factored into salary. Hiring Incentive $1,000 at successful completion of 6 months (prorated for part‑time hires). Must still be employed, full‑time or part‑time, and in good standing at the time of payout. Key Responsibilities Implement overall quality assurance activities, assess, plan and administer individualized health care consistent with Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio policies and protocols. Prepare assessment plans, examinations and treatment for all services at the center for which the clinician is trained and privileged. Review and interpret medical and social history. Perform appropriate medical screening procedures and examinations. Interpret laboratory data, order additional investigations as indicated and ensure appropriate follow‑up. Provide contraceptive methods: oral and topical contraceptives; oversee contraceptive injections. Begin training and/or complete privileging for device insertion/removal (implants, IUCs) and EMB. Provide emergency contraception. Perform medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito‑urinary conditions. Provide perimenopausal and menopausal services. Counsel pregnant women on all pregnancy outcome options. Provide pre‑ and post‑abortion care. Act as a medical consultant to clinic staff. Manage emergency situations in the center. Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA and State Board of Pharmacy procedures, policies and regulations. Participate in staff meetings related to center management and provide staff training in current medical procedures relevant to reproductive health. Maintain CPR per PPFA standards. Participate in the revenue cycle through charge capture, pricing, health information management, clinical documentation, coding and third‑party reimbursement. Qualifications Education commensurate with Ohio statute licensure requirements for Nurse Practitioner; current Ohio nursing license, certificate of authority, and certificate to prescribe or eligibility for prescription externship. Recent graduate up to 1 year experience. Willingness and ability to learn new skills appropriate to PPGOH clinical duties; ability to work cooperatively as part of a health‑care delivery team. Ability to see 3–5 patients per hour within 6 months of hire and correctly code visits per CMS coding guidelines. CPR/BLS certification required.
