Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Psychiatric Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience in psychiatric nursing Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients in a fast-paced multi-faceted department. Responsibilities will include observation, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs. Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for the quality of care of clients. Completes physical and mental health assessments as indicated by regulations. Administers and monitors treatment regimens and prescribed medications. Observes and reports behavioral changes. Maintains control of drugs and medications. Triage emergent medical issues and coordinate care with nursing staff and providers. Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting. Respects cultural and religious practices of patients. Ensures regulatory compliance and collaborates with various staff in quality assessment, assurance, and performance improvement activities.
