Snowflake Data Engineer

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in data engineering and end-to-end ETL/ELT pipeline development.

• Proficiency in Snowflake data warehousing, schema design, and cloud data modeling.

• Experience with advanced SQL development, stored procedures, joins, and complex data transformations.

• Experience in enterprise ETL tools including SSIS or Matillion for automated data ingestion.

• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java for data workflow scripting.

• Experience in data quality validation frameworks, automated monitoring, and error-handling protocols.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and optimize production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines for continuous data ingestion.

• Design, develop, and maintain performant analytical data models within Snowflake.

• Integrate diverse structured and unstructured external data sources into enterprise data warehouses.

• Monitor data pipeline execution metrics, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and pipeline uptime.

• Troubleshoot and remediate pipeline execution failures, data discrepancies, and query latency issues.

• Automate data orchestration workflows and transformations using Python and specialized ETL tooling.

• Author technical pipeline documentation, architectural diagrams, and data governance standards.
