Position Summary

Continental Wellness Center is seeking a Medical Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to provide administrative and clinical support for our healthcare team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients , ensuring a welcoming and professional experience while supporting clinic operations for patients receiving services related to HIV/AIDS care and mental health treatment .

Key Responsibilities

● Greet patients and manage front desk check-in and check-out procedures.

● Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.

● Verify patient insurance and eligibility for Ryan White services .

● Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR system.

● Assist providers with basic clinical tasks including vitals, patient intake, and preparation for exams.

● Coordinate lab orders and patient referrals when needed.

● Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.

● Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations .

● Support patient intake and assist with completion of forms.

• Ensure smooth daily clinic operations.

Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent (Medical Assistant certification preferred)

● Experience working in medical office or clinic setting

● Experience with front desk operations and patient scheduling

● Familiarity with EMR systems

• Experience with HIV/AIDS programs or community health clinics preferred
