Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Evening School Janitor (Part-Time)Pay:$17.00 per hourSchedule:Monday – Friday, 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM (17.5 hours/week)Job SummaryWe are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Evening Janitor to maintain a clean and safe learning environment for our students and staff. This role is critical for ensuring the school is sanitized and secure for the following day.Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom & Office Cleaning:Empty trash and recycling bins, sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors. Dust furniture, desks, and windowsills.Restroom Sanitation:Thoroughly clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors. Restock paper towels, toilet tissue, and soap dispensers.Floor Maintenance:Sweep and mop hallways, cafeterias, and entryways. Use floor scrubbers or buffers as needed.High-Touch Disinfection:Wipe down frequently touched surfaces, including door handles, light switches, and handrails.Facility Security:Ensure all windows and doors are locked and secured at the end of the shift. Turn off unnecessary lights and set alarms as directed.Maintenance Reporting:Identify and report any major repair needs, such as leaks or broken fixtures, to the Lead Custodian.QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or GED preferred.Experience:Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided.Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs (trash bags, equipment).Skills:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow a standard cleaning checklist.Clearances:Must be able to pass a criminal background check and child abuse clearance, as required for school personnel.
