Help make a positive impact in the lives of students by providing essential support and instruction as a Special Education professional in a vibrant school community near Hartford, CT. Two contract positions are currently open, offering the chance to work in dynamic classroom environments and contribute to student development.
What we’re looking for:
- Current, active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License (and all required certifications)
- Experience with CT-SEDS (preferred)
- Strong commitment to supporting diverse learners across multiple grade levels
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored lessons to students according to IEPs
- Collaborating with general education staff to support inclusion
- Collecting and maintaining documentation for progress monitoring and compliance
- Participating in meetings with families and other professionals to review student achievement
- Utilizing CT-SEDS for case management, if applicable
- Adapting to the unique needs of either Bristol Central High School (September 28–December 23) or Northeast Middle School (ASAP through the tentative end date)
