Respiratory Therapist

This position requires a respiratory therapist to work night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The therapist will be responsible for performing comprehensive patient assessments and providing education. They will administer invasive and non-invasive ventilation methods. Skills in arterial blood gas collection and analysis are essential. CPR and the administration of inhaled medications are required. Therapists must be adept in complex oxygen therapy techniques. They should also perform airway clearance and inflation techniques. Experience with bedside spirometry is necessary. The role includes working with NICU patients, particularly utilizing bCPAP and HFNC as well as managing mechanical ventilation for specific gestational ages. Weekend coverage will be required every other week, with the potential for every third week. The position may require floating between facilities as needed. Respectful communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support are required for optimal patient care.
