Job Description Job Description We are L.A. Build Corp and construction is our passion! We are a construction company for new residential homes, based in Woodland Hills, CA and we are seeking an experienced Project Accountant for residential construction projects in the Los Angeles area. To ensure success, candidates should possess solid industry knowledge and demonstrable experience in project accounting. You need to be well-organized, have great time management skills and be able to act without guidance. You will perform a variety of administrative tasks and ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our business. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Office, QuickBooks, various office equipment and other productivity applications. Our office takes a team-based approach, the responsibilities are not limited to the list provided, we cover for each other and do what is necessary to keep the work going smoothly. Responsibilities Review subcontractors’ invoices with Project Managers and Lead Accountant, update transactions in Excel, QuickBooks, BuilderTrend and Procore Maintain project budgets with Lead Accountant and manage accounts payable on a weekly basis Prepare Draw Requests and invoices to clients on a monthly basis alongside Lead Accountant Track all vendor transactions in our systems and review with Project Managers Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports Complete and submit applications for insurances Communicate with construction loan banks, submit budget information and back-up materials to the bank Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Procore and BuilderTrend Construction knowledge and experience Discretion and confidentiality Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Flexible and willing to learn new skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and coordination skills Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Must have a High School degree Company Description Full Service General Construction company specializing in high end and luxury residential construction.
