Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
• Initiate IV-peripheral start and care; central line care
• Manage tubes/drains including NG, JP, chest tube, and ostomy care
• Insert and maintain Foley catheters
• Follow established documentation systems using Meditech
• Ensure adherence to the facility's floating policy as needed

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

• Active TX RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Experience with Meditech charting
