Application Engineer

Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesExecutes project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.Participates in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT Department personnel.Runs complex reports to analyze system operation, works with project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work.Develop written sequence of operation based on mechanical drawingsUnderstand the design and intent of mechanical equipment and systems such as Chiller, Boiler, Custom AHU's, Primary/Secondary pumping, Variable flow Chilled water plants, Clean Room Applications, Demand Response, and Energy solutions.Analyze systems and develop scope of work for controls implementation, create control algorithms, download source code to controllers and manage databases.Give technical presentations on building automation, controls, and emerging technology and experience in multiple systems integration.Participates in final inspection and testing, assures customer acceptance, and conducts training for end user customers on system operations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.Strong networking background required8+ years of direct automation experience with control system architecture design and programing required6+ years of experience with Niagara AX/N4, Distech, Delta, or similar systems.Knowledge of Direct Digital Controls, BACnet, MODbus, Tridium, Schneider, and Delta required.Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems - Unitary Systems to Central PlantsEngineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with control system architecture design, programing, or maintenance desired.Equal Opportunity EmployerAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
