IV Tech (RN)

As an IV tech at IV Nutrition, you will work in a spa‑like atmosphere, help clients reach their optimal wellness goals, and work together as a team to drive the overall client experience. Our employees receive discounts on services monthly and have all major holidays off! This role is responsible for administering the infusion of intravenous vitamins. The IV tech will administer vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly to the patient’s body to optimize health and wellness. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Administer IVs and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process. Monitor the client’s response to treatment. Manage and prevent infections. Assess the client’s physical health including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc. Identify contradictions to intravenous therapy for the client. Take client’s vitals as needed. Document interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment. Perform all other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification : Credentialed as a RN (Registered Nurse). Required Knowledge : Electronic Medical Records and Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Medical Practice Functions, Strong Venous Access Skills with the Ability to Access Peripheral Veins. Experience : Minimum of 2 years of vascular access or infusion experience, including strong venous access skills for peripheral veins. Skills and Abilities : Excellent intravenous catheter placement skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication, customer service, patient confidentiality, stress management, multi‑tasking, self‑motivation, self‑management, problem‑solving, time management, independent judgment, resilience, perseverance, organization, patient care, flexibility, dependability and reliability, collaboration and teamwork, and ability to meet all performance standards of the position and continually learn. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS TALKING: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly. AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average conversations. REPETITIVE MOTION: Regularly required to type continuously throughout the day. FINGER DEXTERITY: Regularly required to use hands to type and maneuver a mouse. AVERAGE VISION: Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without assistance). PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted; stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods. WORKING CONDITIONS This position is PRN with varying hours. General clinic environment with climate control. PRN requirement is 6 shifts per month, including one weekend per month. MENTAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization; establishing credibility and decisiveness. MATHEMATICAL ABILITY: Strong numeric capabilities; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.
