Beverage Preparation and Customer ServiceThe incumbent in this position is responsible for under the direction of restaurant management, establishing the preparation and presentation of beverages including tasting, product specification, and sanitation.Essential DutiesOffers customer demonstrations and samples using brewing equipmentPromotes positive customer relations; effectively explains menu items, handles guest complaintsPrepare and serve beverages in accordance with established standards set by restaurant managementEnsures that production and storage areas are maintained in accordance with city and state health department codesPromotes positive public/employee relations at all timesMaintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum six (6) months of related experience requiredAble to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.Must be computer literate.Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Be flexible and adaptable to change.Be team-oriented and enjoy working with and assisting people.Able to exercise judgment on an independent basis.Be articulate and possess a professional appearance and demeanor.SkillsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Meticulous, organized and accurateExtreme confidentiality.Familiarity with a variety of computer systems and applications.Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.Manage multiple details and tasks concurrently in a changing environment.Able to work effectively in a team environment.Analyze and think about how possible solutions impact on the entire operation.Physical DemandsAbility to stand and sit for extended periods of time.Ability to walk distances.Ability to lift 30 to 40 lbs.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
