Shipping ClerkThe shipping clerk position is responsible for safely packing aerospace components requiring repair from the facility and executing required paperwork for shipment.Job ResponsibilitiesSafely pack and/or crate components requiring shipment per guidelinesCreate required shipping paperwork for parts shipmentScan parts and input information into QuantumProvide shipment updates to cross functional departments as necessaryMaintain shipping area in order, in accordance to established proceduresContribute to projects in order to increase efficiency and reduce/eliminate shipment errorsMay require part transportation to other buildings (mileage reimbursed)Essential Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesEducation: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The ideal candidate must be able to work in a high-output, fast paced environment. Ability to read, write and fluently speak and understand English.Working Conditions / Environment / Special RequirementsMust have driver's license in good standing. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations. As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator. Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
