Job Description

As a Security Officer with Active Clearance Patrols in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic tech location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this role, you will support access awareness and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach to each shift.

Monday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Friday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Saturday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sunday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor processing, badge verification, and/or entry procedures in accordance with site guidelines.
• Support day-to-day operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or potential hazards observed during patrols and routine assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD TS-SCI clearance is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
