Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse staffing a specialized level III unit in Dallas, Texas. This role involves caring for neonatal patients, including preemies of at least 28 weeks gestation and above, with complex respiratory and central line management. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and a seasoned team dedicated to neonatal care. Job Details: Shift Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS, NRP, at least 1 year of experience in a level III neonatal intensive care setting; no minimum years of experience specified otherwise Experience Requirements: Experience with preemies (at least 28 weeks gestation), management of central lines, respiratory care including intubation, care for patients aged 2 years and above, and procedures such as central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, PDA ligations Patient Population: Neonates, including respiratory and cardiac patients, trach infants, and patients with Broviacs Travel and operational policies: Contract staff may float to other units such as Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatric, and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) before staff; a minimum of one year of neonatal experience is required; scheduled with rotating weekends and holidays Equipment and documentation: Nasal cannula, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS), warmers, isolettes, documentation in Clinical Patient Nursing (CPN) and Meditech systems Uniform: Royal blue scrubs Additional Requirements: Must adhere to unit policies and guidelines. Experience with surgical and cardiac neonatal patients is preferred.
