Speech Language Pathologist

Job Overview Location: 1460 Curve Crest Blvd W Stillwater, MN 55082-6070 Department: 31602110 Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute Outpatient Rehabilitation St Croix Adult Shift: Day 8‑hour shift, 40 hours/week. Non‑Union, no weekend rotation. Key Position Details: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two‑week pay period). Supports adult and pediatric patients; potential float to Pediatric Stillwater location. Job Summary Provides appropriate, efficient, and effective speech‑language pathology care, including therapy for communication, cognitive or swallowing impairments. Responsibilities Provides therapy to patients. Assesses each patient relative to physician referral and provides reassessments. Gathers data including patient past/current health issues, system reviews, selects tests and measures. Generates diagnosis and predicts level of improvement and time to reach it. Uses reassessment to determine if outcomes and goals are reasonable and modifies as necessary. Involves patient and family in establishing goals of treatment. Designs, implements, and modifies therapeutic interventions. Coordinates, communicates, documents and bills per program, regulatory and professional standards. Selects appropriate tests, measures, and interventions according to patient age. Makes referrals to other practitioners as appropriate. Selects and delegates tasks of the plan of care per professional guidelines. Supervises therapeutic program and maintains oversight of the plan of care. Promotes rehab services by ensuring patient and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement and process improvement activities for the department. Supports and promotes new services as requested; provides ongoing input to enhance services. Develops and promotes new and current programs as requested. Assists co‑workers in managing team productivity/performance targets. Manages daily patient schedule; assists with scheduling, room cleaning, and laundry to maintain efficient clinic flow. Qualifications Master’s degree in Communication Disorders or Speech‑Language Pathology. Licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist - MN Department of Health (required for services in Minnesota). Licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services (required for services in Wisconsin). Must meet at least one of the following: current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or Allina in‑house BLS training within 30 days of hire. Valid driver’s license required upon hire; MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state within 60 days of employment if providing Home Care and Hospice services. Physical Demands Light work: can lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently. Pay Range $37.04 to $50.77 per hour. Base pay depends on experience, education, and union agreement. Shift differentials may apply.
