eCommerce Specialist

The eCommerce Specialist will support the eCommerce group, including eBook pricing, Point of Sale, EDI, and other functions as necessary. The eCommerce Specialist will also be involved in functional testing as needed and adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures. Pricing And Promotions Track and load Client and Wholly Owned eBook promotions and price changes Troubleshoot issues and errors related to the pricing module Collaborate with Digital Operations, other Simon & Schuster departments, and Distribution Clients to ensure accurate and timely processing of eBook pricing changes and promotions Generate and distribute a weekly report summarizing past, current and upcoming promotions for Senior Management Update eBook parent conversions for Adult and Children’s titles on a weekly basis using the pricing module Point Of Sale (POS) Retrieve, track and load all daily and weekly POS files received via email, FTP, or customer portals, ensuring timely and accurate processing Run validation reports to verify the accuracy and completeness of POS data loaded into the system Generate and distribute weekly POS reports using IBM Cognos for various internal departments Track and submit new title item share requests for POS reporting Upload weekly pre-order and competitive sales data Document and monitor delays or issues within the POS reporting process EDI/eBook Processing Partner with EDI and IT teams to troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues Assist with the processing and generation of EDI transactions, including ASNs Support clients with Pubeasy account setup and onboarding for order processing Process daily Barnes & Noble eBook billings Other Document and develop processes and suggest improvements based on analytical conclusion Research and report on customer compliance violations related to eCommerce/EDI (i.e., ASN chargebacks) Interact frequently with customer and sales contacts to resolve issues and ensure customer compliance Interface with IT for issue resolution and mapping Create queries from Excel and Access to run required reports Analyze systems, reports and procedures to support business rules and practices Backup other eCommerce department personnel as necessary Other duties as necessary Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Technology or related field Excellent communication skills: verbal and written Excellent PC skills. Excel spreadsheet (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Macros), MS Access, Cognos, and SQL Ability to use various PC utilities and Internet based utilities Strong interpersonal skills needed in dealing with other employees, management, and customers Must be able to exercise good independent judgment, with good skills Well organized, with good time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to analyze reports/procedures and make suggestions for process improvements where needed Must be able to interpret objectives and coordinate day to day tasks Good at facilitating problem solving with customers and colleagues Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and month end goals Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:30am – 5pm Location: 100 Front Street, Riverside, NJ, 08075 Simon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) including disability/vet.
