You will architect adaptive learning experiences across all readiness domains, guide a team of Guides to execute them with precision and enthusiasm, and monitor measurable milestone achievement for every child in your cohort. This is a leadership position grounded in classroom practice. Approximately one-third of your time will be spent directly in learning environments — demonstrating facilitation techniques, observing live sessions, and conducting calibration reviews. The remaining time is devoted to curriculum architecture, coaching Guides with clear and quantifiable objectives, and providing families with data-informed progress reports. You will witness the tangible results of your efforts: four-year-olds reaching developmental milestones ahead of schedule, Guides advancing their performance metrics weekly, and parents championing the program. What You Will Be Doing Conduct 1:1 and small-group coaching with PreK Guides, demonstrating instructional methods and recognizing measurable progress Architect and lead play-based learning experiences that integrate SEL, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, exemplifying excellence for your team Assess and calibrate Guide documentation on a weekly basis for rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating calibration meetings to ensure milestone visibility Draft family communications and facilitate team huddles that synchronize priorities and uphold collective standards for campus-wide PreK readiness What You Won’t Be Doing Executing rigid lesson plans or compliance-focused procedures — you will create adaptive, play-based experiences informed by live developmental data Delivering instruction from a static curriculum imposed externally — you control quarterly and weekly learning architecture Operating independently without structured feedback — coaching dialogues and calibration sessions are embedded weekly Supervising K‑12 learners engaged in app-based programs — this position is exclusively focused on early childhood, in‑person, hands‑on instruction Learning Facilitator Key Responsibilities Elevate campus-wide PreK readiness results by coaching Guides, ensuring program consistency, and cultivating joyful, evidence-based classrooms. Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related discipline; Master's degree or advanced certification preferred Minimum of 5 years professional experience working directly with children ages 3 to 5, including experience as a lead or head teacher in a classroom or formal program Demonstrated ability to design and execute play-based educational curricula that support developmental milestone progression e.g. Montessori Minimum of 1 year experience coaching or supervising a team of educators with accountability for performance outcomes Experience drafting written progress updates for families and facilitating team coordination meetings in educational environments Legal authorization to work in the United States without need for visa sponsorship Willingness to work onsite at the Alpha Austin campus with relocation assistance provided if necessary Nice-to-have Requirements Knowledge of edtech systems, adaptive reporting dashboards, or digital observation platforms used in early childhood education Background in behavior guidance frameworks and co-regulation methods for children ages 3-5 About Alpha Join the team building school around student growth Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real-world skills.
