Travel RN – Neuro/Ortho Med-Surg (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 48 Hours Guaranteed | Rotating every 3rd weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Neuro/Ortho Med-Surg unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 (TPC) or 1:5 with PCT support
• Care for patients undergoing total joint replacements, complex spine care, complex neurosurgery cases, and general surgery
• Utilize Meditech EMR and Welch Allyn equipment for patient monitoring and documentation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, and unit secretaries in a fast-paced environment
• Float to Med/Tele and Surgical Specialty floors as needed
• Adhere to unit dress code: royal blue scrub top and bottom, or royal blue top with black scrub bottoms

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for the state of Kansas or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Strong team-oriented mindset with ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS or PALS certification preferred
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion preferred
• Prior experience in Neuro, Ortho, or Med-Surg settings
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
