Veterinary Technician

Position Overview Location: 1087 NY-86, Ray Brook, NY 12977 Compensation: $19-$21/hour VCA High Peaks is a full‑service veterinary hospital serving the Saranac Lake and Lake Placid communities. We are looking for a full‑time, Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) to join our medical team and provide high‑quality care to our patients. Responsibilities Perform physical examinations and patient assessments. Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures. Prepare patients for surgical operations and assist the surgeon. Assist with dentistry, radiology, and laboratory work. Conduct venipuncture and catheter placement. Support pharmacy duties and medication preparation. Monitor patient recovery and provide ongoing care. Maintain a compassionate, low‑stress environment for hospitalized animals and their owners. Qualifications Valid veterinary technician license (CVT, RVT, or LVT). Experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred. Strong communication skills and a client‑centric approach. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and support staff.
