Critical Care RN - Elevate Patient Care

MAJOR FUNCTION:Provide professional nursing care through the nursing process. Meet the needs of the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team through communication, coordination, and evaluation. Comply with all policies and procedures, nursing standards of practice and regulatory bodies.QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience:You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferredGrandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:Hired on or before May 31, 2013- IMCHired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCWHired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCMCritical Care experience preferredMedical Surgical nursing experience required if no Critical Care experience1year clinical experience in specialty area required for per diem positions, two years preferred.Certification/ Licensure:Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing as required by law.American Heart Association BLS required.American Heart Association ACLS required within 3 months of hire.American Heart Association PALS required within 3 months of hire.Dysrhythmia required within 3 months of hire.Critical Care Course required within 6 months of hire.National Certification in area of specialty preferred.Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of anesthesia agent and their impact on the patient’s response.Knowledge of discharge criteria.Knowledge of specimen collection and disposition.Knowledge of medication system and process.Knowledgeable and utilizes Cerner and unit specific computer systems.Knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals, procedures related to, and their application.Physical Requirements: N: Never O: Occasionally ( 80%)Lifting 50lbsOCrouchingOReachingFCarryingFHearingCWalkingFPushingFTalkingCVisionCEnvironmental Conditions:NoiseFVaried TemperaturesOCleaning AgentsONoxious odorsOPatient ExposureCOperative EquipmentFBENEFITS INFORMATION:Click Here to Review Our Great Benefits Offerings?>At Inspira Health, you’ll join with the area’s most dedicated and distinguished team to bring quality and compassionate care to our communities.
